2 bike-borne youths throw acid on girls in Dhindori

Bhopal : Two masked motorcycle-borne youths threw acid on two girl students in area under the jurisdiction of Gadasarai police station in Dhindori on Saturday. The victims, students of class XII, were on way to write pre-board examination when the incident took place.

The duo was admitted to district hospital with burn injuries in their hands and faces. Attending doctors described their condition as serious. A case has been registered under sections 307 and 326 of the IPC.

The police have detained and interrogated three suspects regarding the attack. SDO(P) Bhagat Singh said, “Two bike-borne miscreants, who were wearing masks and helmets, threw acid on the two girls who were on way to school. The miscreants had even covered registration number plate of their vehicle. A manhunt has been launched to nab the two youths.

SP Karti KN said, “Three suspects have been interrogated. A case has been registered under sections 307 & 326 IPC in the matter. Both the girls were on way to appear in pre-board examinations.”

In June 19, 2016,  acid was thrown on a college teacher by her brother-in-law on June 19,2016.
