Hyundai Motor Company has introduced the INSTEROID, a bold and playful take on the INSTER electric vehicle (EV). Designed to evoke excitement, this sporty concept pushes creative boundaries to enhance the emotional appeal of Hyundai’s design language. With its striking look and distinctive character, the INSTEROID transforms the popular INSTER into a more dynamic and expressive vision of a modern electric car.

Hyundai’s INSTEROID concept builds on the foundation of the INSTER EV, blending a bold, muscular stance with a youthful and energetic design. The name itself merges “INSTER” and “STEROID,” highlighting its enhanced and dynamic personality. Since its global launch in June 2024, the INSTER has gained strong traction in markets like Europe and Korea. The INSTEROID takes this a step further, adding playful details across its design—from its control buttons to the rear spoiler—creating a more engaging and immersive electric driving experience.

Hyundai has teased the INSTEROID concept, a bold reinterpretation of the INSTER EV with a striking, gaming-inspired design. The teaser images reveal key upgrades, including aggressive wheel arch air vents, large 21-inch wheels, and an aerodynamic rear spoiler with a diffuser. Signature Pixel LED lighting further enhances its futuristic appeal. Designed as a one-of-a-kind concept, INSTEROID blends digital aesthetics with real-world performance, embodying Hyundai’s vision for innovative and expressive electric mobility. The company plans to unveil the full concept in April 2025.
