The Citroen Dark Edition models are expected to retain their current engine options, with no mechanical updates planned. The C3 Dark Edition will likely continue with the 1.2-litre petrol engine, offered in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions, paired with either a manual or automatic transmission. The Basalt is also expected to carry on with the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol motor, available with a six-speed manual or automatic, while the naturally aspirated version will be limited to a five-speed manual. Similarly, the Aircross Dark Edition should maintain its current engine lineup, including both naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol units, with manual and automatic gearbox options.
