As informed by the villagers, Forest Department officials reached the scene. After long efforts the female snake was captured. During capture it was seen raising its hood and hissing at people as seen in the video.

Forest officials said that due to the rainy season, the likelihood of snakes coming out in search of prey like rats increases in homes. The female snake had not hunted recently, which is why it kept roaming in one place.
