UP: 22-Year-Old Reel Creator Lies On Railway Tracks, Lets Train Pass Over Him in Unnao; Arrested After Chilling Visuals Go Viral

Reel creators sometimes go overboard to satisfy their craze and record viral content. One such incident has come to light from Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, where a youth laid himself on the railway track and seemingly allowed a speeding train to pass over him. Scary, right? Absolutely.
The now-viral video shows the reel creator holding his mobile phone and resting on the train tracks. Second later, the visuals capture a train passing by. The footage suggested the man was resting on the rail tracks till the entire train went above him. He waited under the train to create his reel.

Dressed in a yellow shirt and light blue jeans, he was seen lying flat on a functional railway track in the life-threatening stunt. He fearlessly stretched his body on the centre of the rail track with his arms extended forward, holding a phone to film the moment.

The video initially showed him adjusting himself on the tracks, followed by the movement of the train.
As the footage surfaced online, a few X users claimed the reel to be edited. Netizens pointed out at the two different frames, showing the reel creator at once and the train in another, and said they looked edited.
"This is a edited video I think", one wrote. "It's Edited I feel. He just laid down and added a train video and at last got up", explained another.

GRP officer Arvind Pandey told TOI that a forensic examination of the smartphone would reveal whether the clip was edited, noting the youth knew editing Instagram reels.

Identifying him as 22-year-old Ranjit Chaurasia, the news media informed that he positioned himself on the railway tracks as a Vande Bharat Express passed over him, without causing any injuries to him.
GRP arrested Chaurasia for the reckless act and mentioned the incident took place near Kusumbhi station along the Kanpur-Lucknow route.
