SDRF Personnel Rescues 6 Drowning Kanwariyas In Haridwar, Video Goes Viral
SDRF personnels were seen rescueing several Kanwariyas drowing in the Ganga river in past few days. Videos of the same are going viral on the Internet receiving widespread praise from netizens. In recent rescue operations, around 6 kanwariyas were saved from the SDRF personnel.

All safety measures are being taken care during the ongoing 'Kanwar Yatra' amid heavy rains in Haridwar as SDRF personnels were seen rescueing several Kanwariyas drowing in the Ganga river in past few days. Videos of the same are going viral on the Internet receiving widespread praise from netizens. In recent rescue operations, around 6 kanwariyas were saved from the SDRF personnel.
The SDRF said that Uttarakhand State Disaster Response Force rescued over six Kanwariyas from drowning in separate incidents at Kangra Ghat and one at Ganga river in Haridwar, the SDRF said. The brave act was captured by onlookers.
6 Drowining Kanwariyas Saved
SDRF team rescued 6 Kanwariyas who were drowining in Kangra Ghat while taking a bath. After heavy flow of water swapt the kanwariyas amid downpour, SDRF team came into rescue. SDRF Uttarakhand Police posted on X, "SDRF Uttarakhand Police team demonstrated alertness - during the Kanwad Mela, 06 Kanwadiyas were rescued and safely brought to the shore while bathing at Kangra Ghat in separate incidents."

Another Kanwariya Saved While Drowining Into Ganga River
On July 11, another Kanwariya was rescued at Prem Nagar Ashram Ghat in Haridwar by deep diving team of SDRF. The 20 year old devotee named Sanjay is a resident of Bareilly, U.P. The SDRF said, "SDRF Uttarakhand's promptness saves another life! During the Kanwar Mela 2025, at Prem Nagar Ashram Ghat, Haridwar, the SDRF Deep Diving Team successfully rescued Shri Sanjay (age 20 years), a resident of Bareilly, U.P., who was drowning."

Arrangements For Kanwar Yatra
Haridwar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pramod Singh Dobal said," The CM had directed Haridwar Police that all Kanwar yatris should be welcomed warmly in Haridwar. We have made arrangements for their convenience. The Kanwar track was created keeping this in mind. One or two incidents took place where some minor clashes broke out. Haridwar Police has taken strict action. Haridwar Police welcomes all devotees, but nobody can take law and order into their hands."
