Former Maharashtra chief minister and Shiv Sena UBT supremo Uddhav Thackeray on Monday called for a meeting of the INDIA bloc alliance partners ahead of the upcoming key elections.
Speaking to the media in Mumbai, Uddhav said, "After the Lok Sabha elections, there has been no meeting of the Bharat Alliance and I want the meeting to be called as soon as possible because Bihar elections are coming closer, and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections will also be held in 2025."
Responding to a question about whether elections should be held with ballot papers, Uddhav said, "All elections should be held on ballot papers only."

"If I am not wrong, US Presidential Elections are held on ballot papers, ballot papers are used for elections in the UK, then why can't it happen here?" he said.
When asked about MNS leader Bala Nandgaokar's recent statement in which he said that in the past Uddhav and Raj Thackeray fought elections together, and if it will be required they can fight together again in the future, Uddhav dodged the question saying that Raj Thackeray has asked his party spokesperson not to speak on the issue.
