Maha Kumbh 2025: Man Snatches Microphone From Reporter And Runs Away; Viral Video Leaves Netizens In Splits

You might be aware there's a huge rush at Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 and if you lose the track, you might be lost. A man at Prayagraj misused the crowd for a wrongful act. He stole a reporter's mic and escaped into the crowds, making it difficult for the pressman to retrieve his belongings.

It was unclear whether the reporter ever managed to get his mic back.

The cameraperson of the media channel identified as 'Daily India' recorded the scene on camera when a man came closer to the microphone and snatched it away.

The video showed the journalist speaking to people while covering Maha Kumbh 2025. When he was interacting with a devotee and asking him about his experience of attending the grand event at Prayagraj, the thief snatched the microphone and fled. The reporter and other people who surrounded him ran behind the thief but it was not sure whether anybody managed to nab him and retrieve the mic.

"I bathed well on all five days. The food facilities such as 'Bhandaras' are organised here", a devotee at Maha Kumbh said on the microphone before it was snatched.

When the reporter asked people to share their experiences of attending this religious gathering, this devotee threw light on the food facility, and before he could say anything further, the thief disturbed by leaning towards the microphone. This action bothered the reporter who opposed his actions later.

As this man went too close to the mic when the devotee was speaking, the reporter stopped him from leaning forward and getting very near to the device. However, the man didn't adhere much to what was said. He snatched the mic and ran away.

This video is being widely circulated on social media and going viral.
