Lucknow Woman Skillfully Steals Gold Earrings From Ghazipur Jewellery Shop; Caught On CCTV

Lucknow: A woman skillfully stole gold earrings from Riddhi Jewelers' shop located in Bhootnath Market of Ghazipur police station area of Lucknow. Reportedly, the earrings weighed about 1 gram. She stole them from the shop in broad daylight in front of the staff and ran away. The entire incident was caught on the CCTV camera of the shop.

According to the shopkeeper, the woman came to the shop posing as a customer and asked to see the earrings. After staying in the shop for some time, she made a false excuse to go out. When the shopkeeper later checked his goods, he found that a pair of gold earrings were missing.

The CCTV camera installed in the shop recorded the entire incident. It can be seen in the footage that the woman quietly dropped the earrings on the floor and pretended to bend to pick something and skillfully hide the gold somewhere. Immediately, she walked out without arousing any suspicion.

When the shopkeeper got to know about the missing pair of earrings, he immediately informed the Ghazipur police station about the incident. The police have seized the CCTV footage and started an investigation to identify and arrest the accused woman. Police are searching for the woman in the surrounding areas, and the investigation into the case is ongoing. Also, the police have advised shopkeepers to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

The police officer said that the incidents of theft are being monitored closely, and action is being taken by forming a special team to nab the accused as soon as possible.
