Assam, July 13: In a dramatic incident, a man reportedly took bath with around 40 litres of milk in Assam. The video of the man taking bath in milk has surfaced on the internet and video is going viral on social media. The man reportedly took the bath as a symbol of starting a new life after getting a divorce from his wife, who reportedly ran away with her lover twice. The woman had eloped with her lover leaving her husband and her child twice in the past.
The incident took place in Mukulmuwa village located in Assam's Nalbari district. The man identified as Manik Ali (32) declared that he had been given a new lease of life after a local court granted him a divorce from his wife.
Ali said that his marriage had been troublesome for several years due to repeated infidelity. He said, "She ran away with her lover not once but twice. Both times I accepted her when she returned for the sake of our child."

He also said, “I gave her chances. I tried to forgive. But when someone makes the same mistake again and again, there comes a time when you have to choose peace over pain.”
The viral video shows Ali standing shirtless between the villagers, friends and onlookers, and poured 40 litres of milk over himself in what he described as a purification and celebration ceremony.
