Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic Launched In India: Prices, Pre-Order Details, And Features
Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic in India at Unpacked 2025, alongside its new foldables. Both run One UI 8 Watch, feature Super AMOLED displays, and are powered by the Exynos W1000 chip. The Classic has a stainless steel body and rotating bezel, while both offer advanced health tracking features.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic at its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event held in New York. The new smartwatches debuted alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Both wearables introduce a refined "squircle" design and come in multiple size and connectivity options. Powered by Samsung’s new Exynos W1000 processor, the wearables run One UI 8 Watch based on Wear OS 6.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic Price in India and Availability
In India, the Bluetooth version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 (40mm) is priced at Rs. 32,999, while the 44mm variant costs Rs. 35,999. The LTE variants are priced at Rs. 36,999 for the 40mm model and Rs. 39,999 for the 44mm version.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic (46mm) is available in two versions: the Bluetooth-only model priced at Rs. 46,999 and the LTE variant priced at Rs. 50,999.
Colour choices include Graphite and Silver for the Galaxy Watch 8, and Black and White for the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Pre-orders are open now via Samsung’s official channels, with open sales starting July 25.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic Specifications
The Galaxy Watch 8 comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Watch 8 Classic is offered in a single 46mm variant. The standard Watch 8 is built with an aluminium case, whereas the Classic edition features a stainless steel body. Both models use Sapphire crystal glass for improved screen durability and offer MIL-STD-810H certification along with an IP68 rating, ensuring resistance to dust and water.
The Watch 8 (40mm and Classic 46mm) includes a 1.34-inch Super AMOLED display with 438 x 438 pixel resolution, while the 44mm Watch 8 has a larger 1.47-inch panel with 480 x 480 resolution. All variants deliver 327ppi pixel density and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness for better outdoor visibility.
All models are powered by the Exynos W1000 chipset, and run on One UI 8 Watch, Samsung’s latest skin based on Wear OS 6. The Classic version includes 64GB storage and 2GB RAM, while the Watch 8 offers 32GB storage with 2GB RAM. A Quick Button on the Classic model enables faster access to apps and functions, and it retains Samsung’s signature rotating bezel for easier navigation.
In terms of battery, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is equipped with a 445mAh battery. The Watch 8 40mm comes with a 325mAh unit, while the 44mm model includes a 435mAh battery. These offer day-long use with support for fast wireless charging.
Both smartwatches are equipped with Samsung’s BioActive Sensor, which combines optical, electrical, and bioelectrical signals to deliver comprehensive health tracking. This includes heart rate monitoring, electrocardiogram (ECG), sleep tracking, blood pressure monitoring, stress tracking, and body composition analysis.
The wearables also introduce the AGES Index, a metric developed to evaluate biological age, and come with features like fall detection, temperature sensing, and real-time health alerts. The Classic variant also includes a 3D hall sensor for enhanced movement tracking.
The Galaxy Watch 8 (40mm) measures 40.4 x 42.7 x 8.6 mm and weighs 30g, while the 44mm model measures 43.7 x 46 x 8.6 mm and weighs 34g. The Watch 8 Classic (46mm) is larger and heavier, measuring 46.7 x 46 x 10.6 mm and weighing 63.5g.
