At Galaxy Unpacked 2025, Samsung launched five key devices in India: Galaxy Z Fold 7 (from Rs. 1,74,999), Z Flip 7 (from Rs. 1,09,999), Z Flip 7 FE (from Rs. 89,999), Galaxy Watch 8 (from Rs. 32,999), and Watch 8 Classic (from Rs. 46,999). All feature Galaxy AI integration and go on sale from July 25 with pre-order offers valid till July 12.

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025, held in New York, showcased a full lineup of next-gen foldables, wearables, and AI-powered innovations. The event marked the global debut (including India) of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, Galaxy Watch 8, and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. All of these products are now open for pre-orders in India and will go on sale on July 25. Here are the five most significant announcements from the event.

1. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 debuts with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy (Elite) chipset. It features an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display and a 6.5-inch cover screen, both offering 120Hz refresh rates. The phone is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor at just 215g, and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. With a 200-megapixel triple rear camera setup, Android 16-based One UI 8, and a 4,400mAh battery, it also introduces new AI tools like Circle to Search, Gemini Live, and Writing Assist.

2. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 has a larger 4.1-inch edge-to-edge Super AMOLED cover screen and a thinner 6.5mm unfolded profile. It’s powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2500 SoC, paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Key additions include ProVisual Engine, Note Assist, and Now Bar for better multitasking and photo enhancements. It houses a 50-megapixel main camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 10-megapixel selfie camera, supported by a 4,300mAh battery.

3. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE

For the first time, Samsung introduced a foldable in the Fan Edition (FE) series. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE brings many core foldable features at a lower price point, starting at Rs. 89,999. It runs on the Exynos 2400 chipset, features a 6.7-inch foldable AMOLED display and a 3.4-inch cover screen, and supports key Galaxy AI tools like Photo Assist, Live Translate, and Note Assist. It retains the 50-megapixel + 12-megapixel rear camera system and offers a 4,000mAh battery, IP48 rating, and Knox Vault security.

4. Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Series

Samsung unveiled two new smartwatches—Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic—both running One UI 8 Watch based on Wear OS 6. The Watch 8 is available in 40mm and 44mm aluminium variants, while the Classic comes in a 46mm stainless steel body with a rotating bezel. Powered by the Exynos W1000, the watches offer Super AMOLED displays with up to 3,000 nits brightness, military-grade durability, and health features like ECG, sleep tracking, and body composition analysis. The Classic adds a Quick Button for faster controls and includes up to 64GB storage.

5. Galaxy AI Integration

A standout theme at this year’s Unpacked was the deep integration of Galaxy AI across all new devices. From Gemini Live and Now Brief to Drawing Assist, Call Assist, Photo Assist, and Transcript Assist, AI features are embedded into Samsung’s foldables and wearables to enhance user experience. Whether it’s summarising your day from the cover screen, helping you edit images, or providing real-time translations during calls, Galaxy AI has now been made central to Samsung’s product ecosystem.

All Samsung foldables and wearables go on sale in India from July 25, with pre-orders open now through Samsung’s official website and authorised retailers.
