One of the most celebrated cricketers of all time, Dhoni not only enjoys a massive fan following in India but also globally due to his batting and captaincy exploits. The 44-year-old is the only captain to win the 50-over World Cup, T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy. The veteran played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs and 98 T20Is for India and still continues to feature in IPL.
In the video, the fan named Rishabh Malakar, a doppelganger of the former captain said:
"Soch raha hoon yeh waale haath ko lamination kara leta hoon, ya kuch aisa ki photo copy rakh leta hoon iski. Mahi sir ne haath milaaya hai bhai isse. Yeh waale haath se Mahi sir ke haath touch hue hain." (Thinking of having this hand of mine xeroxed or laminated. I shook hands with this one with Mahi bhai.)
MS Dhoni uncertain of returning for IPL 2026
Meanwhile, the veteran keeper-batter remains uncertain of returning for IPL 2026 amid his growing age and fitness concerns. After the Super Kings finished at the bottom of the points table for the first time in the tournament history, Dhoni said he will take some time to assess and come to a decision before the next season begins.
The Ranchi-born cricketer is a custodian of a handful of IPL records, including winning the joint-most titles as captain (five), tying with Rohit Sharma, who did so for the Mumbai Indians. He is also the most-capped player (278) and most-capped captain (235) in IPL history.
