Virat Kohli made a comeback to the Ranji Trophy after 13 years and the excitement to witness the king was visible as people started making queues outside the stadium very early in the morning.

Virat Kohli's much-anticipated return to the Ranji Trophy after more than a decade generated an electrifying atmosphere at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday. Thousands of devoted fans packed the stands to celebrate the comeback of their cricketing idol. However during the match one the fans decided to breach the security to try and get closer to Kohli.
The supporter bowed down and touched the 36-year-old’s feet as soon as he got near to him.Kohli remained composed as the situation was brought under control. Kohli, standing at the second slip, gestured to the security people to not hit the fan. The touching moment was quickly captured on video and has since gone viral on social media.

However, the overwhelming crowd led to chaos, with fans pushing and shoving each other, resulting in injuries.
According to the report a police bike was damaged during chaos and at least three people sustained injuries. The injured people were attended by DDCA security and police officials near the entry gates. One injured fan even required a bandage on his leg. Adding to the mayhem, a security guard was also hurt in the frenzy.

The first session of the match has comes to an end with Delhi the much happier side. The pacers made full use of condition and picked up 5 wickets to put Railways on backfoot. All three pacers struck, with the crowd providing energy in this domestic game.
Young pacer Money Grewal impressed, taking wickets on consecutive balls and being on a hattrick at one stage. Siddhant Sharma and Navdeep Saini are the other two pacers to pick wickets.
