Gujarat Titans' skipper Shubman Gill and SunRisers Hyderabad keeper-batter Ishan Kishan were seen involved in a hilarious banter ahead of the two sides clashing in IPL 2025 on Friday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Kishan was heard telling his teammate to protect the goal at any cost as Gujarat Titans shared a video of the same.

Kishan and Gill have been the best of friends, having seemingly played together since the junior days and done so on numerous occasions for India too. However, Gill and Kishan have had contrasting fortunes in IPL 2025, with the former scoring 389 runs in nine matches at 48.62. By contrast, Kishan has only managed 183 runs in as many games despite starting the season with a century.

SunRisers Hyderabad face a stiff task as they target playoff spot

While the Guajrat Titans look primed to seal a playoff spot, the SunRisers have an uphill task ahead of them. With only three victories out of nine matches, they need to win all of their remaining games to stand a chance of qualifying into the top four.

Even then, the Orange Army might have to rely on other results to progress to the playoff. The SunRisers had notably lost to the Titans earlier in the tournament.
