United States' President Donald Trump marked his presence at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey for the marquee occasion of the Club World Cup 2025 final between Chelsea and Paris St. Germain. However, the veteran politician was booed as he appeared on the jumbotron when the National Anthem was being played.

United States' President Donald Trump marked his presence at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey for the marquee occasion of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 final between Chelsea and Paris St. Germain. However, the veteran politician was booed as he appeared on the jumbotron when the National Anthem was being played.

Trump has recently faced plenty of criticism around the globe in recent times due to his certain foreign policies and most recently came under the scanner for imposing 35% tariff on imports from Canada, which will come into affect from August 1. He had also warned Canada that the rate will surge if they retaliate.

The 79-year-old also received a similar reception while heading to the stage to present winners Chelsea with the trophy.

Meanwhile, Palmer delivered a nerveless performance to propel Chelsea to a 3-0 victory over PSG. Palmer netted two goals in the 22nd and 30th minute, while Pedro did so in the 43rd minute to script a one-sided victory for their side. Speaking on his experience of meeting Trump, the 23-year-old had said, as quoted by Firstpost.com:

"I knew he was going to be here, but I didn't know he was going to be on the stand when we lifted the trophy, so I was a bit confused."
