Rajasthan Royals delivered a commanding performance at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday night, defeating Chennai Super Kings by six wickets in a high-scoring IPL 2025 encounter. Chasing 188, the Royals reached their target with 17 balls to spare, riding on stellar contributions from Vaibhav Suryavanshi and captain Sanju Samson.
CSK posted a competitive total of 187/8 in their 20 overs. Ayush Mhatre provided the early fireworks with a blistering 43 off just 20 balls, hammering 8 fours and a six. Dewald Brevis carried the momentum with an entertaining 42 off 25 deliveries, including 2 boundaries and 3 towering sixes. However, Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers pulled things back in the death overs, led by the ever-reliable Akash Madhwal, who emerged as the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/29 from his 4-over spell.
In response, Rajasthan Royals wasted no time asserting dominance with the bat.
