Mumbai Indians' talisman Suryakumar Yadav shared an adorable video on Instagram with his wife Devisha Shetty after winning the Player of the Match award against the Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday. With Suryakumar claiming at the post-match presentation that his wife complains about hardly getting the Player of the Match award, they posed with the trophy.

The classy right-handed batter scored a 43-ball 73 to propel the Mumbai Indians to what ultimately proved to be a match-winning total of 180. The five-time champions' bowling unit squeezed the life out of Capitals' run-chase after the latter had made a decent start. The visiting side eventually lost by 59 runs and crashed out of playoff race.

Posting a video on Instagram, the 34-year-old wrote the caption. "Biwi ne bola karneka… matlab karneka." In the clip, he said:

"Biwi ne bola sab trophy leke aate ho, lekin man of the match ki trophy nahin leke aate ho. Toh yeh lo." (My wife told me you bring all other trophies but not the Player of the Match one. So here it is.)

"We could have read the game better" - Hemang Badani

At the post-game presser, head coach Hemang Badani pointed out the Capitals had conceded too many runs at the death. Badani reflected that world-class players will inevitably pounce on anything loose and said, as quoted by Cricbuzz:

"We could have read the game better. We could have understood that the surface was slower, could have gone to the cutters, could have also gone to the wide yorkers. You would expect bowlers of international level to come and nail those balls. And if you don't do that, players like Surya, who have been around long enough (time), will punish you."

The final two overs were bowled by Mukesh Kumar and Dushmantha Chameera and they conceded well over 40 runs.
