Following the tragic Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives, former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi stirred controversy with yet another provocative remark on the Indian government. According to a video shared by India Today, the ex-Pakistan skipper who was visiting the Attari border, spoke to Samaa TV in which he said, 'Hum Aman Pasand wale log hai, Izzat see ghar aaoge toh Izzat Karenge. Paani Bandh karke aapne nuksan hi karwaya. Aapke jo mehmaan hai unko chai kaun pilayega. Hume badmashi an dikhao" (We are people who believe in peace. If you honour us we will also honour you. By stopping the water your have made a loss. How will we serve tea to your guest."

Earlier Shahid Afridi had blamed the Indian Army for security failures and accused India of unjustly targeting Pakistan. Speaking on a Pakistani news channel, Afridi mocked Indian media and questioned the credibility of Indian cricketers who blamed Pakistan without proof.

Afridi had said, "Tum logon ki 8 lakh ki fauj wahan baithi hai yaar Kashmir mein aur yeh incident ho gaya hai. Iska matlab yeh hai nalayak nikamme ho tum log ki security aap de nahin sakte."

(You have an army of 8 lakh which is placed in Kashmir and the incident took place. What it means is the Army hasn't been responsible enough to give their people enough security)

Shikhar Dhawan responds to Shahid Afridi's comments

Dhawan took to social media to express his disappointment and outrage over Afridi's comments. He wrote, "Kargil mein bhi haraya tha, already itna gire hue ho aur kitna giroge, bewajah comments pass karne se acha hai apne desh ki taraqqi mai dimag lagao. Humein hamari Indian Army par bohot garv hai. Bharat Mata Ki Jai! Jai Hind!"

(We already defeated you in Kargil. You have already fallen so low, how much lower will you go? Instead of making such pointless comments, it would be better if you used your mind for your country's progress. We are extremely proud of our Indian Army. Bharat Mata Ki Jai! Jai Hind!)
