Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Shirole wrote, "I brought to the notice of the House a critical issue — the rising number of cyber crimes in Pune and the urgent need for five new Cyber Police Stations across the city. Cyber fraud is no longer rare. From fake calls to online scams, too many citizens are falling victim every single day. I shared real incidents in the House to show just how serious and personal this problem has become."
"I also urged the government to invest in better-trained cyber police, faster response systems, and awareness programs in schools. We must ensure banks cooperate fully with investigations and that victims have a real shot at getting their stolen money back," he added.
The Shivajinagar MLA said the Minister of State for Home, Yogesh Kadam, responded positively to his demands and promised that steps would be taken towards making Pune digitally safer and more secure.
