The crime in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad is increasing day by day, with shocking cases coming to light every day. In one such shocking case from the Pimpri-Chinchwad police jurisdiction, a self-proclaimed godman was arrested by Bavdhan Police for allegedly practising black magic, cheating people, and secretly keeping a watch on them through a mobile phone remote access app.
The accused has been identified as Prasad alias Baba alias Prasad Bhimrao Tamdar, a resident of Swami Samarth Building, Sus Gaon, Mulshi taluka.
Regarding the matter, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and Other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013, and the Information Technology Act.

Tamdar was running an ashram in the Bavdhan area under the Pimpri-Chinchwad police area, where he claimed to provide solutions to various issues of people through astrology and black magic.
A police official told ANI that Tamdar would ask his visitors to download an app on their mobiles, which would give him access to their phones. He would then ask his visitors to engage in sexual acts with women, including sex workers, and he watched secretly on his phone.
The app allowed him to secretly monitor their activities. He would ask the victims to keep the phone open and watch the sexual activity claiming it was for ‘identifying flaws in his planets', reported the Indian Express.
Anil Vibhute, Senior Police Inspector of Bavdhan Police Station, speaking to The Free Press Journal, said, "So far, four victims have complained regarding the accused. Further investigation is ongoing to identify additional victims and determine the modus operandi of the accused. The accused has been arrested and will be produced in court today. We urge the people to come forward and lodge a police complaint if they have been cheated by the accused in the past."
