The Pune Police has launched a website to track the palkhi (palanquins) processions of Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, and access real-time traffic and road closure updates in the city.
"To ensure seamless passage for our warkaris and to ensure minimum disruption in commute for Punekars, we have redesigned our page to highlight the latest palkhi position right on top for quick viewing, along with updating both palkhis' routes, closed roads, live diversions, parking locations, expected arrival times at the next location, and head/tail position of processions, and images from the ground from our internal data reporting app," a message on the website read.

Meanwhile, undeterred by continuous rains, thousands of warkaris have set out for Pandharpur from Alandi and Dehu, carrying the palkhis of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj, respectively, amid chants of 'Jai Hari Vitthal' and 'Dnyanoba Mauli Tukaram'.
The palkhis will take a halt in Pune city tomorrow (June 21). Following this, the two palkhis will go on their separate routes. They will reach Pandharpur on Ashadi Ekadashi, which falls on July 6 this year.
Spanning around 20 days and covering nearly 250 km, the pilgrimage includes halts in towns and villages along the route.
