In a big decision to maintain security in Pune, the Pune Police has taken a significant step to ban the use of drones and other flying machines for a month. This ban took effect from April 6, 2025, to May 5, 2025. Action has been directed against those who violate this order.
A prohibitory order has also been imposed on the use of drones, remote-controlled light aircraft, paragliding, and hot air balloons.
Pune Police has informed that legal action will be taken against any person violating the order. In the interest of public safety and to prevent any untoward incident, this temporary ban is necessary. This order has been given for the safety of citizens and to maintain peace in the city. If such orders are strictly implemented, security threats can be avoided to a large extent, the police added.
Citizens are appealed to behave responsibly, follow the rules, and cooperate with the police administration. It has also been advised to avoid using drones, paragliders, or similar devices.
