Maharashtra Day was celebrated with immense pride and patriotic fervor at Jethe’s Academy, Dhankawadi Branch. The celebration aimed to connect students with the glorious legacy of Maharashtra’s formation, instil a deep sense of social responsibility and inspire respect for the state's rich cultural and historical heritage.
The event commenced with the National Anthem, followed by a soulful rendition of the state song "Jai Jai Maharashtra Maza," which filled the atmosphere with pride and emotional reverence for the motherland.

The programme then featured insightful speeches and motivational addresses. Prof Anand Jethe, Director of Jethe’s Academy, while addressing the students, said, “Maharashtra is not just a geographical entity—it is a powerful ideological movement. It reflects the legacy of visionaries like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, saints and social reformers. It is our collective responsibility to build this state on the pillars of education, hard work and strong moral values. I urge every student to contribute wholeheartedly to this cause.”
Prof Deepali Jethe, Co-Director of the Academy, emphasised the significance of Maharashtra’s rich educational traditions. She stated, “Education should not be pursued solely for employment, but for the upliftment of society. The courage and people-centric vision of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj must be adopted by today’s youth as a way of life.”

Adding to the spirit of the event, Dilip Suryawanshi, a retired army personnel and Co-Founder of the Academy, remarked, “The identity of Maharashtra lies in its disciplined and duty-bound youth. Every student must cultivate patriotism, honesty and a spirit of service. Let us overcome our weaknesses and enrich ourselves with noble values.”
The celebration included a variety of cultural and educational activities designed to engage students and foster a sense of unity, pride and purpose.
