Daund: A shocking incident of murder has come to light from Daund taluka, where a young man killed a person in anger over suspicions about the illicit relationship of his mother.
The incident took place late at night on August 14 in the Indiranagar area of Daund.

According to police, the accused had doubts about the illicit relationship of his mother. Keeping the anger in mind, on the night of August 14, the accused confronted Pravin Dattatray Pawar (deceased), believing that Pawar was having an illicit relationship with his mother.

Meanwhile, a heated argument occurred between the accused and Pawar. The accused allegedly attacked him with a sickle, striking his head, face, and hand, leading to serious injuries and blood loss. Pawar died on the spot from his injuries.
Gopal Pawar, Senior Police Inspector of Daund Police Station, said the complaint was lodged by Nitin Ashok Gupte (41, vegetable vendor) at Daund Police Station.
Following the report, police registered a case under Section 103 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita and took the accused into custody. Furthermore, the matter is under investigation and action will be taken accordingly.
