Vaishnavi Hagawane Case: Who Is Nilesh Chavan? Shashank’s Business Partner & Karishma’s Friend Has A Dark Past, Was Booked For Recording Sexual Activity With His Wife And Torturing Her

The suicide case of Vaishnavi Hagawane in Pune is in the news across the state, and a week after her death, the police have arrested her father-in-law Rajendra and brother-in-law Sushil Hagawane. Pimpri Chinchwad police arrested them both from Swargate early on Friday morning.

Meanwhile, a case was registered against Nilesh Chavan at Warje police station in Pune on the complaint filed by Vaishnavi's relatives and the Kaspate family. This case has been registered for threatening the Kaspate family and creating terror with the help of a pistol.

On May 19, when the Kaspate family went to Nilesh Chavan's residence in Karve Nagar to take Vaishnavi's son into custody, Nilesh threatened them. They were thrown out of the house at the point of a pistol. The case of threat has been registered under the IPC and Arms Act.

Who is Nilesh Chavan?

When the Kaspate family demanded custody of the baby, he refused to give it up. It has been revealed that Nilesh Chavan is a friend of Vaishnavi's sister-in-law, Karishma Hagawane.

Meanwhile, Nilesh Chavan, who is booked in the Vaishnavi Hagawane case, also has a dark history. It has been revealed that he was accused of torturing his wife. In 2019, a case was registered against Nilesh Chavan at the Warje police station in Pune for recording an objectionable video of his own wife with the help of a spy camera while having sexual intercourse with her, said Sambhaji Kadam, Deputy Commissioner of Police.

And now, a case has also been registered against Nilesh Chavan for threatening Vaishnavi's family members who came to the same police station to demand her baby.

Nilesh Chavan got married on June 3, 2018. In January 2019, Nilesh Chavan’s wife suspected that something suspicious was attached to the ceiling fan in their bedroom. When she asked Nilesh about it, he gave vague answers. However, the next month, in February, Nilesh’s wife again suspected that something suspicious was attached to the air conditioner in the house. That time too, she asked Nilesh about it, but even then he gave a vague answer without saying anything. Finally, one day, when Nilesh’s wife opened his laptop, she found a video of their sexual act recorded in it with the help of a spy camera.

Also, his wife found videos of Nilesh with some other girls on his laptop. When Nilesh’s wife asked for an answer, he threatened her with a knife in the house and tried to strangle her and allegedly forced her. After all this, Nilesh’s wife informed Nilesh’s parents and other family members about this. But far from helping, her in-laws started harassing her. After that, Nilesh continued to harass his wife for the next several months. Finally, Nilesh’s wife decided to leave the house. Based on her complaint, a case was registered against Nilesh and his relatives on June 14, 2022. His anticipatory bail application was rejected by the Pune Sessions Court, but even after that, the Warje police did not arrest him. Finally, the Mumbai High Court granted him anticipatory bail. Nilesh Chavan has construction business and is also involved in the business of Poklen machines. Nilesh Chavan is a friend of Shashank Hagawane’s sister, Karishma Hagawane. He was often involved in family disputes between Shashank and Vaishnavi. Nilesh Chavan’s father has three flats in the Karvenagar area.
