Over 4,000 Kg Of Drugs Destroyed By Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Rural Police | Sourced

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Rural Police destroyed 4031.874 kg of drugs seized in 66 cases under the NDPS Act registered in 19 police stations in the district between 2012 and 2020 by burning them on Wednesday. The narcotic drugs, including marijuana and heroin, were burnt. The seized drugs were stored in the central godown at the police headquarters.

The committee led by SP Dr Vinaykumar Rathod decided to destroy the 4,031.874 kg of drugs by burning them. After reviewing the seized drugs and related articles, the committee implemented the destruction process. Additional SP Annapurna Singh, Deputy SP Sanjay Deshmukh, and committee members Vijaysingh Rajput and others completed the legal procedure for the destruction. The documents were approved and the drugs were destroyed on Wednesday.

The narcotic drugs destroyed were seized by police stations including Paithan, Pachod, Paithan MIDC, Bidkin, Chikalthana, Karmad, Phulambri, Vadodbazar, Sillod Rural, Ajintha, Fardapur, Kannad City, Khuldabad, Kannad Rural, Pishor, Vaijapur, Shiur, Sillegaon, and Gangapur.

The action was executed by Sanjay Deshmukh, Vijaysingh Rajput, Annasaheb Waghmode, Santosh Misale, Siddheshwar Gore, Sangeeta Wasadikar, Sanjay Bhosale, Angad Tidke, and others.
