Kannad Police Bust Massive Drug Racket: ₹1.23 Crore Worth Of Marijuana Seized From Farmhouse, 5 Arrested

The Kannad City police seized 409 kgs of marijuana worth ₹1.23 crore from a farmhouse in Dabhadi Shivar on Thursday.

API Kunal Suryawanshi received information that marijuana was being stored in a farmhouse in Dabhadi Shivar, on land owned by Nasibkha Sandekha Pathan.

Accordingly, under the guidance of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Vijaykumar Thakurwad and PI R. B. Sanap, a team conducted a raid on the farm in Dabhadi Shivar in Kannad taluka. The police found marijuana being stored in the house. When weighed, it amounted to 409 kgs, valued at ₹1.23 crore. The police seized the marijuana, a jeep (MP10 ZD 7222) used for smuggling the narcotic drugs, and other articles, all amounting to ₹1.40 crore.

The police arrested the accused: Nasibkha (42, Kunjkheda, Kannad), Imran Liyakat Khan (38), Muktiyar Musa Khan (45, both from Balsamad Tehsil, Kachrawat, Khargon, Madhya Pradesh), Vijay Ramchandra Nahar (38, Aksa, Gajam, Odisha), and Ramkrishna Harkit Nayak (32, Bawanganjam, Odisha), from the spot. A case has been registered under the sections of the NDPS Act. Under the guidance of Thakurwad, PI Sanap is further investigating the case.

The police action was executed under the guidance of SP Dr. Vinaykumar Rathod, Additional SP Annapurna Singh, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Thakurwad, and PI Sanap. The team included API Kunal Suryawanshi, PSI Chand Mendke, Mahadev Naikwade, Kesharsingh Jarwal, Tilokchand Pawar, Kailas Nimbhorkar, Jeevan Lodwal, Sanjay Atole, Moin Baig, Vijay Chaudhary, Babasaheb Wagh, Satish Narwade, Laxman Chavan, Sominath Gadwe, Dinesh Khedkar, Pankaj Gabhud, and others.
