Caught On Camera: Distracted Biker Rams Car In Pune, Flees Scene To Avoid Confrontation | Video Screengrab
An X (formerly Twitter) user on Sunday evening shared a video of a distracted biker crashing into his car. Despite the car being damaged, the biker fled the scene to avoid any confrontation, he added.
"This happened in Pune while I was travelling with my family. The person didn’t even wait before I could get out of the car; he had already vanished from the scene. There was a deep dent on the car, and the number plate was also broken," the X user wrote, sharing a video of the accident.
As seen in the video, the biker was looking to his left while riding. He did not even notice that the car in front had stopped (possibly at a traffic signal). He went straight ahead and crashed into the car. Immediately, he picked up his bike, adjusted the rear-view mirror which had become loose due to the accident, and fled the scene.
"Distracted driving. He was looking at the other side of the road. In any other country, he would’ve been given black points and fined for reckless driving. But he’s living in a country which is a paradise for reckless drivers," a user commented.
"Surely it's the biker's fault, but should appreciate him for 1) wearing helmet with proper strap 2) fixing the rear-view mirror before leaving," a second user sarcastically wrote.
A third user stated, "It's because of idiots like these that govt should make at least the rear protection bull guard legal!"
