Haridwar, July 10: The festival of Guru Purnima, symbolizing the Guru-Shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition, was celebrated with deep devotion and dedication at Patanjali Yogpeeth, under the divine presence of Swami Ramdev Maharaj, the Founder President, and Acharya Balkrishna Maharaj, the General Secretary. The celebration took place at the Yog Bhavan Auditorium, located in Patanjali Wellness, Yogpeeth-2.

During the event, Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna garlanded each other and extended best wishes for the Guru Purnima festival.

On this occasion, Swami Ramdev said that Guru Purnima is a festival to establish Sanatan Dharma as the Dharma of the Era. It represents the glorious Guru-Shishya tradition of India, the lineage of sages, the Vedic tradition, and Sanatan heritage. This festival reflects and upholds these traditions in their entirety.

He added that the essence of Vedas, sages, and Guru Dharma also contains Rashtra Dharma (national duty).

Addressing the students of Patanjali University, he emphasized that they should strive to live with divinity and the spirit of sages (rishihood), which will bring a new revolution in the world.

Swami Ramdev further stated that currently, there is a global struggle for dominance. However, true dominance should be of truth, yoga, spirituality, and justice. Due to various reasons, the world is facing intellectual, religious, materialistic, political, economic, medical, and educational terrorism.

In such times, the world will look toward India for direction in education, healthcare, economics, society, and politics. India will gain global recognition as the Vishwaguru (World Teacher).

Acharya Balkrishna Maharaj, on this occasion, said that Guru Purnima showcases the Guru-Shishya tradition, but its true significance lies in having complete faith in the Guru and walking the path shown by them. By following the principles laid out by the Guru, one can lead a righteous life.

He stated that India will become the Vishwaguru through its Guru-Shishya tradition, yoga, Ayurveda, Sanatan Dharma, and Vedic knowledge.

In one's life, one should seek the guidance and shelter of such an ideal Guru or enlightened being who can illuminate the path of progress in life.

N.P. Singh, Executive Chairman of the Bharatiya Shiksha Board, offered salutations to Sanatan Dharma and described the divine environment of Guru Purnima as extraordinary. He said that with the blessings of Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna, a holistic revolution in education is being initiated through Patanjali.

During the Kanwar Mela, an uninterrupted food distribution (langar) was organized for Shiva devotees by Patanjali Yogpeeth, in which Swami Ramdev Maharaj personally served food to the devotees.

All service heads, sannyasis, unit heads, department heads, coordinators, and students associated with Patanjali Yogpeeth were present at the event.
