Just days after a video of a fight among women commuters on a Churchgate-Virar local train went viral, another similar incident has come to light. This time, the altercation reportedly took place on a Central Railway (CR) local train heading toward Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. However, there has been no official confirmation of the incident by Central Railway authorities so far.

According to Lata Argade, President of the Federation of Suburban Railway Passengers’ Association, the fight began after the train had crossed Dombivli. "The train reached Dombivli on Tuesday at around a quarter past eight in the morning. It was already fully packed. Due to overcrowding while boarding, passengers began pushing and shoving each other, which eventually escalated into a heated argument," Lata further added.

However, the exact date and time of the incident have not yet been confirmed by the railway authorities. The new video, which has been widely circulated on social media, shows a chaotic scene inside an overcrowded women’s compartment. The clip captures passengers shouting, using abusive language, and physically pushing one another. At least two women can be seen pulling each other’s hair in a heated scuffle, while others either watch or attempt—unsuccessfully—to intervene.

Despite the video’s viral spread and growing public concern, railway authorities have not received any formal complaint about the incident. A railway official stated, “No complaint has been received so far in connection with this video.”

This marks the second such incident in the recent past. A similar altercation on a Churchgate-Virar local train was reported a few days ago.

That video also showed aggressive behavior and physical confrontation among women in a compartment reserved exclusively for female passengers.

The recurring nature of such incidents has raised serious concerns about passenger safety, discipline, and the daily challenges faced by commuters. With overcrowding continuing to affect local trains—especially during peak hours—a frequent woman commuter, Rupali Shah from Mulund, suggests that stricter enforcement of rules and increased public awareness campaigns may be necessary to ensure safer and more orderly travel conditions.
