Vasai-Virar News: Motorist Robbed Of Valuables & Phones Worth Nearly ₹1.5 Lakh In Nalasopara

Palghar, Maharashtra: Naigaon Police have registered a case against an identified accused for allegedly robbing a motorist of gold ornaments and two mobile phones in Nalasopara East. The total value of the stolen items is estimated to be close to ₹1.5 lakh.

Complaint Filed, Accused Later Identified

The complaint was filed by Dipesh Dhiraj Chavan (30), a resident of Sanyukt Nagar, Nalasopara East, who works as an employee. According to the FIR, the incident occurred on August 2, 2025, around 8:35 am, near Mamta Circle at Bhajanlal Dairy on Kaman-Naigaon Road. The accused, identified as Sandesh Topare, allegedly snatched the valuables from the complainant.

Case Registered

A case was registered at Naigaon Police Station on August 3, 2025, under Section 305(c) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023. As of the time of reporting, the accused has not been arrested. The complaint was registered promptly after the victim reported the crime. The investigation is underway to apprehend the suspect and recover the stolen items.
