Thane Police Recover 105 Missing Mobile Phones Worth ₹31.5 Lakh Across 4 Stations, Return Devices To Owners
The Thane police have successfully traced and returned 105 missing mobile phones to their rightful owners. The complaints regarding the missing mobile phones were filed across four police stations under the Vartaknagar Division in Thane — Vartaknagar, Kapurbawdi, Chitalsar-Manpada, and Kasarvadavali earlier.

Thane: The Thane police have successfully traced and returned 105 missing mobile phones to their rightful owners. The complaints regarding the missing mobile phones were filed across four police stations under the Vartaknagar Division in Thane — Vartaknagar, Kapurbawdi, Chitalsar-Manpada, and Kasarvadavali earlier.
Phones Tracked Using CEIR Portal
According to police officials, the number of mobile phone thefts and losses is rising steadily in the city. The missing mobile phones were tracked using technical analysis through the CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) portal, which aids in locating lost or stolen phones efficiently.
Devices Worth ₹31.5 Lakh Recovered
Of the total, 35 cases were registered at Vartaknagar Police Station, 20 at Kapurbawdi, 25 at Chitalsar-Manpada, and 25 at Kasarvadavali Police Station. The recovered phones, belonging to various brands, are collectively worth ₹31.5 lakh and were reported missing from Thane, Mumbai, adjoining cities. Following recovery operations, the phones were returned to their respective owners.
The police sources said that the people became immensely happy after obtaining their missing mobile phones. Following the receipt of their mobile phones, the people gave thanks to the police who returned their mobile phones to them.
