Palghar: A seven-month-old baby tragically died after falling from the 21st floor of a building in the Bolinj area of Virar on Wednesday afternoon. The devastating incident occurred when the baby's mother lost her balance while closing a window.
About The Incident
The incident took place at the Pinnacle building in the Joy Ville residential complex in Virar West. The couple, Vicky Sadane and Pooja Sadane, had welcomed the baby after seven years of marriage. Just a day before the incident, the infant had completed seven months.
At the time of the incident, which occurred around 3:15 PM, Vicky Sadane was at work. Some relatives were visiting their home to see the baby. While attempting to close the window, Pooja Sadane reportedly slipped on water that had accumulated near the window, causing her to lose her footing. The baby fell from her shoulder and tragically plummeted to the ground below, dying on the spot.
Statement Of The Senior Police Inspector Of Bolinj Police Station
"Vicky Sadane was at work as usual on Wednesday. Some relatives were visiting the family to see the baby. The woman was closing the window while carrying the baby on her shoulder when she lost her balance and the baby fell," said Prakash Kawle, Senior Police Inspector of Bolinj Police Station.
He further stated that the window did not have full protective grills. The police are currently investigating the matter. An accidental death report has been registered at the Bolinj Police Station.
This devastating incident has left the family and local community in shock.
