Panvel Municipal Corporation Launches 'Progressive Panvel' Short Film Contest With ₹3.75 Lakh Prize Pool
As part of its upcoming 10th anniversary celebrations, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a city-wide short film competition titled “Progressive Panvel.” The initiative aims to engage citizens in showcasing Panvel’s journey of growth and development through the medium of film.

Panvel: As part of its upcoming 10th anniversary celebrations, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a city-wide short film competition titled “Progressive Panvel.” The initiative aims to engage citizens in showcasing Panvel’s journey of growth and development through the medium of film.
The official promotional poster for the competition was unveiled on Monday at the civic headquarters.
Entries Open for All; Deadline September 20
Open to all, the competition invites short films of 10 to 15 minutes in duration, in Marathi, Hindi, or English. The central theme must focus on -Progressive Panvel. Interested participants must register by emailing shortfilmpmc@gmail.com before September 20, 2025. Upon registration, detailed rules and participation guidelines will be shared with applicants.
. Rs 3.75 Lakh Prize Pool Announced
. A total of 20 cash prizes worth ₹3.75 lakh will be awarded:
. Best Short Film – Rs 1 lakh, along with a certificate and memento
. Second Prize – Rs 75,000
. Third Prize – Rs 50,000
. Two Consolation Prizes – Rs25,000 each
. Five Special Mentions – Rs10,000 each
. Ten Additional Awards – Rs 5,000 each
In addition, ten special awards will be given as part of PMC’s 10-year celebration.

The competition is part of PMC’s effort to involve citizens in celebrating the city’s progress and creating awareness about its developmental journey. The civic body has appealed to residents, students, and amateur filmmakers to participate in large numbers and contribute to portraying the evolving identity of Panvel through storytelling.
