Panvel Municipal Corporation Commemorates Public Service Rights Day With Awareness Campaigns And Activities
As part of the state-mandated observance of April 28 as the Public Service Rights Day, Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) organized a series of public awareness activities. The day commemorates the implementation of the Maharashtra Public Service Rights Act, 2015.

Navi Mumbai: As part of the state-mandated observance of April 28 as the Public Service Rights Day, Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) organized a series of public awareness activities. The day commemorates the implementation of the Maharashtra Public Service Rights Act, 2015.
To raise citizen awareness about their rights and the services available under the Act, PMC staged informative street plays across key locations in the city including Panvel Bus Stand, Vadale Lake, Panvel Vegetable Market, Hiranandani Kharghar, and Central Park. The performances focused on the importance of transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in civic administration.
As part of the initiative, a special lecture was jointly organized by PMC and D.D. Vispute College of Education. Principal Seema Kamble addressed the gathering on the significance of public service rights, and the event was inaugurated by the college’s chairman Dhanraj Vispute.
In addition, a poster competition was held at PMC’s Urdu School to further engage students and spread awareness about the Act.
Officials highlighted the recently launched Panvel Connect mobile application, through which citizens can access around 62 civic services. The app is a step toward making the corporation’s functioning more accessible and people-centric.
