This year, the tournament has seen participation: 32 teams in the under-15 boys category, 64 teams in the under-17 boys category, 16 teams in the under-17 girls category.

The district-level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament 2025–26 began at Indo-Scottish School in Kamothe, under the joint organization of the Panvel Municipal Corporation and the District Sports Officer, Raigad-Alibag.
The tournament is part of the state’s initiative under the Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Maharashtra State, Pune.
The tournament, which features under-14 boys and under-17 girls’ categories, was formally inaugurated earlier this week.
This year, the tournament has seen participation: 32 teams in the under-15 boys category, 64 teams in the under-17 boys category, 16 teams in the under-17 girls category.

"These teams represent various schools and junior colleges across the PMC jurisdiction. The next round of matches is scheduled to take place at Ramsheth Thakur Public School, Kharghar," said Deputy Commissioner Prasanjit Karlekar while lauding the enthusiasm of the students and the growing response to school-level sports competitions held within the Panvel Municipal Corporation limits.
The inauguration was attended by Sports Department Head Haresh Jadhav, sports instructors Sameer Rewale, Vishal Yadav, and Mandar Mumbaikar, along with municipal representative Pratik Mhatre, school staff, and a large number of students who gathered to cheer on the teams.
