Palghar, Maharashtra: A 32-year-old man was found dead in a lodge in Dahanu, Palghar district, on Saturday evening, with police suspecting suicide linked to a financial dispute.
The deceased, identified as Salman Mansuri, was discovered hanging from the ceiling of his room around 8 pm. Preliminary investigations suggest that ongoing monetary disagreements and alleged mental harassment may have pushed him to take the extreme step.
Following a complaint, police have registered a case under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for abetment to suicide. The accused, identified as Bharat Zhavre, is currently absconding. Authorities have launched a search operation to locate him.

According to officials, Mansuri may have been under significant psychological stress due to financial issues involving Zhavre. Investigators are examining CCTV footage and questioning family, acquaintances, and lodge staff to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
