Palghar Industrial Tragedy: 2 Workers Killed After Massive Glass Sheet Falls In Vasai Factory
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at a glass manufacturing company, Rajaji Glass Pvt Ltd, in Vasai. The victims, identified as Kashish Samarbahadur Yadav (18) and Akram Akhtar Ali Khan (27), were moving a stack of glass sheets when one measuring approximately 7 feet by 10 feet and 5 mm thick slipped and fell on them.

Palghar, Maharashtra: Two workers died after a large glass sheet fell on them at an industrial unit in Sativali, Vasai East, on Tuesday evening.
Victims Identified as Young Labourers
According to the Naigaon police, the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at a glass manufacturing company, Rajaji Glass Pvt Ltd, in Vasai. The victims, identified as Kashish Samarbahadur Yadav (18) and Akram Akhtar Ali Khan (27), were moving a stack of glass sheets when one measuring approximately 7 feet by 10 feet and 5 mm thick slipped and fell on them.
Severe Injuries and Blood Loss Led to Instant Death
The impact crushed their faces, arms, and legs, with shards of glass piercing their bodies. Both sustained severe injuries and heavy blood loss. They were rushed to Neelkanth Hospital, where doctors declared them dead on arrival on August 13.
Police Investigating Workplace Safety Measures
Police have registered an accidental death report and are conducting further inquiries into workplace safety conditions at the factory.
