Osmanabad Railway Station Renamed To Dharashiv; Mumbai PRS To Be Temporarily Suspended For System Update
The Maharashtra government had earlier issued a notification on April 25, 2025, approving the renaming of Osmanabad station in the Solapur division to "Dharashiv." Following this, the Central Railway authorities granted approval and initiated the name change process.

In light of the official renaming of Osmanabad Railway Station to Dharashiv Railway Station, the Mumbai Passenger Reservation System (PRS) will remain suspended from 11:45 PM on May 31 to 1:30 AM on June 1.
The Maharashtra government had earlier issued a notification on April 25, 2025, approving the renaming of Osmanabad station in the Solapur division to "Dharashiv." Following this, the Central Railway authorities granted approval and initiated the name change process.
While the station's numerical code (01527246) will remain unchanged, the station code initials will now be updated from ‘UMD’ to ‘DRSV’. The new name "Dharashiv" will be displayed in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
As a result of this update, changes will be made in the reservation system, including updates to the station name and code.
During this period of shutdown, changes related to the renaming of Osmanabad station to Dharashiv and other necessary updates will be carried out.
However, passengers will still be able to claim refunds in accordance with railway rules, and Ticket Deposit Receipts (TDRs) will be issued as needed.
