Mumbai: Former MLA Zeeshan Siddique was allegedly stalked by an unknown person on Thursday. Danial, personal assistant to Siddique, told the FPJ that an unidentified person followed Siddique the entire day and was detained by the Nirmal Nagar police. He said, “The police will investigate. We do not have more information about the individual.”

However, the police did not find anything suspicious during the interrogation of the two individuals. The two individuals have been identified as Abhijit Shinde, 27 and Raju Shinde, 22, both resident of Sangli.

A senior Mumbai Police official said that both men had come from rural areas and wanted to meet Zeeshan Siddique. They stated that their families were facing financial difficulties, and they hoped to seek help from Siddique. The duo runs a small spice business, which had suffered losses, prompting them to approach Siddique for financial assistance.

Both of them waited for three to four hours outside Zeeshan Siddique's office to meet him. The police said that both youths were questioned, but nothing suspicious was found.

At around 12:30 in the afternoon, they arrived at Zeeshan Siddique’s office and requested to meet him. However, Siddique’s staff informed them that a meeting was not possible. The two then waited until the evening. Later, a call was made to the police from Siddiqui’s office. When questioned by the police, their statements were verified to be true, and no suspicious activity was detected.

The police released both individuals after questioning.
