A celebrity nutritionist and her husband have been booked by Ulwe Police for allegedly cheating a man from Ulwe of Rs 14.76 lakh under the pretext of offering a health and wellness franchise. The case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for cheating and breach of trust.
According to the case registered by Swapnil Shinde, the accused couple identified as Anjali Mukherjee and Saurabh Mukherjee allegedly promised the complainant a franchise of their health company — Anjali Mukerji Total Health Pvt. Ltd. — between July 2023 and July 2025. They claimed it would be a profitable business opportunity with the potential for steady income. Trusting their social standing and professional reputation, the complainant transferred Rs 14.76 lakh to the company’s account, the complainant alleged in his complaint.

However, despite repeated follow-ups, the promised franchise was not launched, the complainant claimed. Realizing he had been deceived, he approached the police, who then registered a case under BNS provisions related to fraud and criminal breach of trust.
"As of now, no arrests have been made and we are investigating the case," senior police inspector Arjun Rajane from Ulwe police station said.
Calls to Anjali Mukherjee were unanswered.
