Mumbai News: Kandivali School Evacuated After Bomb Threat Email; Police Call It Hoax, Probe Underway
Another Mumbai school has received a bomb threat. More than a dozen schools have received bomb threats in the past month. Swami Vivekanand International School, located at Kandivali West, received a bomb threat, but nothing suspicious was found during the investigation.

Mumbai: Another Mumbai school has received a bomb threat. More than a dozen schools have received bomb threats in the past month. Swami Vivekanand International School, located at Kandivali West, received a bomb threat, but nothing suspicious was found during the investigation.
The School was threatened with a bomb blast through an email. In addition, two other schools received similar threats. All the threats were sent via email.
Upon receiving the bomb threat, the school administration evacuated the premises and cancelled primary school classes. The police were informed around 11:30 am. As soon as the threat was reported, the Kandivali Police and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad reached the spot and searched the entire premises, but no suspicious object was found.

After a preliminary investigation, the police have termed it a hoax threat. However, considering the seriousness of the matter, the investigation is ongoing. The police are also trying to identify who is behind these threatening emails and what their motive is. Officials are currently tracing the source and purpose of the emails.
