Mumbai News: Fire Breaks Out In Empty Coach Of Mahanagari Express At Central Railway's Wadi Bunder Yard; No Casualties Reported (VIDEO)
A fire broke out in an empty coach of the Mahanagari Express rake stationed at the Wadi Bunder Yard of the Central Railways Mumbai division on Tuesday. Though no casualties were reported, the incident caused significant damage to the coach.

Mumbai: A fire broke out in an empty coach of the Mahanagari Express rake stationed at the Wadi Bunder Yard of the Central Railways Mumbai division on Tuesday. Though no casualties were reported, the incident caused significant damage to the coach.
According to sources, fire occurred around 4:30 PM on Tuesday, while the train was undergoing maintenance at the yard. The blaze is believed to have started in one of the coaches under the supervision of the mechanical department.
"Prompt action by the railway’s fire safety team and the Mumbai Fire Brigade helped bring the fire under control and prevented its spread to other coaches or nearby infrastructure" said an official.
According to the Central Railway, no one was injured in the incident. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
