Mumbai: A meeting was held on Wednesday at Mantralaya to discuss the comprehensive development of the Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial at Ambadve, Taluka Mandangad, District Ratnagiri. The meeting was chaired by State Minister for Home, Yogesh Kadam.

During the meeting, it was decided that the Social Welfare Department should prepare a combined development plan for the existing memorial and the proposed new memorial. The district administration was instructed to identify alternative land for the rehabilitation of families whose homes are located in the area earmarked for the memorial's expansion.

The meeting emphasized the importance of taking immediate steps for the comprehensive development of the memorial, which is a social, historical, and inspirational heritage. The memorial is a significant site for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's legacy, and its development will help preserve his memory and contributions.

Officials Attended the Meeting

The meeting was attended by Ratnagiri District Collector M. Devenderji Singh, Sub-Divisional Officer Dapoli Dr. Vijaykumar Suryavanshi, Joint Secretary Public Works Department S. N. Bagul, and officials from the Ratnagiri Social Welfare Department.
