Mumbai: The Western Railway (WR) has announced a night Jumbo Block for essential maintenance activities between Borivali and Bhayandar stations. The block will be implemented on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and June 22, from 11:15 PM to 2:45 AM on the Up fast line and from 12:45 AM to 4:15 AM on the Down fast line, to carry out the maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment.
According to a press release issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, during the block period, all fast line trains will be run on slow lines between Virar/Vasai Road and Borivali. Also, due to the block, some Up and Down local trains will remain cancelled. The detailed information to this effect is available in the concerned station master’s office.
No Daytime Block on Sunday, June 22
Despite the night block, Western Railway has confirmed that there will be no day block on the suburban section on Sunday, 22nd June 2025. This will come as a relief to Sunday travellers, as services during the day will run as per the regular timetable.
Central Railway Schedules Mega Block Between Matunga and Mulund on June 22; Check Details
In another news story related to the Mumbai local train, the Central Railway has announced a mega block for Sunday, June 22, to facilitate essential maintenance work. As per the official notification, the block will be implemented on the Main Line between Matunga and Mulund on both the Up and Down slow lines from 11:05 AM to 3:55 PM.
In addition, the Harbour Line will also see a block between Mankhurd and Nerul, affecting both Up and Down Harbour Line services during the period from 11:15 AM to 4:15 PM. The details of this scheduled maintenance activity were shared via an official post on X (formerly Twitter) by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Mumbai, Central Railway.
