Mumbai: The Goregaon Police have registered a case against a diamond sorter for allegedly stealing a diamond worth ₹10 lakh from his employer. The case was filed based on a complaint by the employer, a diamond trader.
According to the FIR, the complainant has been running a diamond trading company in partnership with his brother-in-law since 2016. The company employs around 55 to 60 workers, including the accused. The stolen diamond is reported to be 35 carats in weight.
The police have launched an investigation into the matter and are working to gather evidence and locate the missing diamond.
