A senior citizen and two minors sustained injuries after a portion of a house wall collapsed at Bhandup West, on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 7 a.m., following heavy overnight rainfall in the city.
The incident took place in Punjabi Chawl at Hanuman Nagar in Bhandup West. The collapsed structure was adjacent to a drain, and the victims—Vanita Vishwas Sawant (65), Manisha Mashir Pal (9), and Yogesh Mashir Pal (5)—were passing by when debris fell on them. All three were rushed to the civic-run M T Agarwal Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition.

Meanwhile, in another incident an empty luxury bus suddenly caught fire on the Western Express Highway near Devipada Metro Station, opposite National Park in Borivali (West) around 4:45 PM on Tuesday. The MFB quickly extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported in the incident, confirmed fire officials.
