Mumbai: 20-Year-Old Girl Dies In Road Accident While Delivering Tiffin To Uncle In Mulund

According to the information received, Mulund Police have arrested the accused truck driver, identified as Mohammad Zakir Mohammad Shabbir Khan (30), a resident of Surat, Gujarat.

Mumbai: A tragic road accident claimed the life of 20 year old Girl in the Mulund area on Thursday January 1, morning. The incident occurred at around 11:20 AM when Shalu Yadav was walking along the Shriram service road to deliver a tiffin to her uncle.

The police have arrested the truck driver involved in the accident and have initiated an investigation.

According to the information received, Mulund Police have arrested the accused truck driver, identified as Mohammad Zakir Mohammad Shabbir Khan (30), a resident of Surat, Gujarat.

As per the complaint, Shalu regularly delivered tiffin to her uncle, Amarjit Manish Yadav, every morning. On the day of the incident, she followed her usual route along the Shriram Service Road. While she was walking, a Tata truck suddenly appeared and hit her forcefully.

Severely injured, Shalu was immediately taken to Agarwal Hospital by ambulance, where doctors declared her dead upon examination.

The police conducted a spot inspection and took the truck driver into custody. Legal proceedings were initiated, and the driver was issued a notice and released.

The police have registered an FIR under sections 282 and 106(1) of the BNS Act, along with relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
