Palghar, Maharashtra: A 19-year-old man, Praneet Pravin Juwale, tragically drowned in the Surya River near Devkundi are in Vasai Taluka, on Wednesday afternoon, June 25. The incident occurred while he was swimming with friends.
The incident was reported by Praneet's father, Pravin Tanu Juwale (55), a rickshaw driver residing in Naigaon East. According to his complaint, around 11:30 am on June 25, his son Praneet, a resident of Devipada, Borivali (East), went swimming in the river with his friends. Praneet reportedly misjudged the depth of the water and drowned.
Naigaon Police Station has registered an accidental death report under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023. Pravin Juwale has stated that he has no suspicion or complaint against anyone regarding his son's death.

The postmortem examination has been conducted. Police Sub-Inspector Shrikant Patil is the investigating officer for the case, with Police Sub-Inspector More having registered the initial complaint. Senior Police Inspector Vijay Kadam and Assistant Police Inspector Manisha Patil are overseeing the proceedings. Further investigations are underway to determine any foul play.
